Hair breakage and hair loss

Sometimes in life, things change slowly and at first you don't even notice. Then, all of a sudden, you look around and realize just how different things are. Earlier, I use to think that my hair is perfect. But suddenly when started my journey out of my home in hostel, I realised that my carelessness doesn’t suit my hair. And consequently, my hair quality got worse and I also lost a lot of hair. Monthly, I use to invest half of my pocket money in costly hair care products. I actually liked a lot of them but many of them actually worsened the condition. Then I heard about some natural and easy tips which actually helped me ease me and my hair again.

The inspiration behind my blog is to share my journey and to provide helpful practical natural hair care tips to other girls who are seeking in depth answers to the puzzling questions they; otherwise would not get answers to in one place.

Understanding your hair texture is the first footstep towards healthy hair. Most essential to care for your hair is finding the right products for your hair- hair oil, shampoo, conditioner, serum, etc. Hair dryers, flat irons and hair curlers won’t damage your hair if used at the right temperature. Everybody loves getting pampered; pamper your hair once in a while with oil massage or bringraj or heena conditioning. Following are the frequent, easy and very useful tips for hair breakage for typical indian natural hair.

Avoid Washing Too Regularly
One of the worst things that you can do, whether you have oily or dry hair, is wash it too often. You should avoid washing your hair every day if you can. Of course, activities such as swimming may stop that from being possible. If you have oily hair, then wash it every other day. This will give the natural oils chance to develop but will prevent your hair becoming overly oily. If you have dry hair, you may want to cut it down to washing your hair just once or twice a week. This will give the natural oils a chance to disperse through your hair.

Tips of hair care if you swim regularly: Wet your hair before getting in the pool. This means that your hair is able to soak up water and will not take on as much chlorine, which will damage your hair. Wear a swimming cap to avoid the chlorine or wash and condition your hair as soon as you have finished.

Natural Dye for Hair
While you may want your hair to look bright and glamorous, dyeing your hair will damage it. To get the sun-kissed look in the summer, opt for some diluted lemon juice on your hair. Put it in a spray bottle and just spray it on your head. Spend some time out in the sun, but avoid spending too much time. One of the best tips of hair care you can get is to avoid the sun for too long. It will start to dry out your hair and damage it, let alone what the rays will do to your skin.

Change Your Diet
If you don't already eat in a healthful manner, then one of the best tips of hair care that you can get is to change your diet. Healthy foods are full of the nutrients that your hair and skin need. This will help maintain your hair's glow.

Plenty of water is something else that you should concentrate on. This will naturally help to hydrate your skin, which will help with your scalp. A well-hydrated scalp will reduce flaking and will keep your hair looking and feeling great.
You Will Need to Adjust Your Hair Care Products
For some reason we believe that natural hair requires more hair products to make it manageable. This is not true. Your ultra-curly indian hair requires fewer products than your relaxed hair did. Your main hair care products needed are:
Sulfate-free shampoo: less harsh on hair and strips away less moisture
* Moisturizing conditioner: helps replenish moisture and softens hair for styling
Hair oil: for use as a hot oil treatment, scalp oil and hair oil (applied to dry hair)

* Leave-in spray conditioner: helps detangle hair and refresh hair between washings.

Shampoo Less, Wash More
Advising to shampoo less and wash more probably does not make much sense. For most of our lives, it has been drilled into our heads that shampoo is the only way to wash our hair. Shampoo is meant to remove excess oil and styling product from the hair. However, we can also wash our hair by rinsing it with water and, if needed, using a cheap conditioner to aid in the washing.
For natural indian hair, washing frequently with just water helps the hair retains moisture and helps define our curl pattern naturally. Shampoo hair once to twice a week and wash/rinse with water every other day.
Do Not Wear Hair Out Everyday
Unless you plan on keeping your hair cut and styled into a short fro, chances are you want your natural hair to grow. Our hair grows; it can't help it. However, a lot of the time we don't see added length because our hair is breaking off. Another hindrance to seeing added length is that natural indian hair tends to knot at the ends when worn out. Unfortunately, the only way to remove hair knots is to cut them out. If your hair is constantly breaking and being cut, how can you expect to see added length?
Between washings, style your hair in a way that keeps the ends tucked in. A braided bun, hair twists, a regular bun (if you hair is long enough for it) and braids are all ways to keep the hair secured, minimizing breakage and knots. You can also wear a hair set, such as the twisted knot set, between washings or shampoos. This is when hair accessories will become your best friend. Scrunches, barrettes, and bobby pins are just a few hair accessories that can help.
Keep Hair Covered at Bedtime
Another cause of hair breakage is friction. Hair friction happens most while we sleep. Our heads are moving on our pillowcases, causing our hair to rub on the fabric, creating friction. Not to mention that pillowcases, especially cotton ones, absorb oil and can make natural indian hair drier. Always tie a silk or silky scarf around your head before bedtime. The scarf will lessen friction and won't rob the hair of oil.
These tips for common hair issues faced when we go from relaxed to natural are not huge obstacles. However, we do need to keep up with our hair maintenance and healthy practices to make sure our hair is in good condition and continues to grow. Just stick to it and you will find it easier to manage your natural indian hair as time goes on.
